When you need it
The Gap Between Two Dates Is a Normal Problem
Almost nobody closes on one house the same morning they get keys to the next. A few days, a few weeks, sometimes a couple of months — and everything you own needs somewhere to be in the meantime.
Closing Dates Slipped
The sale moved, the new place is not ready, or the lease ends first. Load out on time anyway and collect the keys without a truck parked in your life.
Renovating First
Floors, paint or a kitchen going in before you settle. Furniture stays wrapped and out of the way instead of shuffling room to room.
Out-of-State Delivery Gap
Moving away but the far end is not ready. Storage in transit rides on the same estimate as the long-distance move.
Downsizing
Less square footage than you had. Hold what you have not decided about instead of deciding under pressure on moving day.
How it works
One Company, Both Ends
The version that goes wrong is the one where a moving company hands your furniture to a storage company and nobody owns the problem. Here the same estimate covers the load, the hold, and the redelivery.
Free written estimate
Move and storage itemized together, before you commit. Give us your best guess at both dates.
Load-out day
Everything padded, wrapped and inventoried as it leaves the house — the inventory is what makes redelivery painless.
Stored
Your things sit wrapped, not loose. Tell us up front if you expect to need access before redelivery.
Redelivery
Same company, same standards. Unloaded and placed in the rooms you point to at the new address.
What it costs
Two Parts, One Number
Storage is where a second surprise bill usually shows up. Both halves are priced together, in writing, before anything gets loaded.
- How much is storedA one-bedroom and a four-bedroom house are very different volumes. This is the biggest factor.
- How longA week between closings and three months during a remodel are priced differently. A best guess is enough to quote from.
- The move itselfCrew, truck, distance, stairs and packing — the same factors as any local move, quoted the same way.
- RedeliveryBringing it back is part of the job and part of the estimate, not a separate call you make later.
- No surprise chargesIf a fee applies to your move it is on the estimate. Nothing gets added while your furniture is sitting in a building you do not control.
Straight answers
Moving and Storage Questions
What happens if my closing dates do not line up?
That is exactly what moving with storage is for. We load, wrap and inventory everything on your move-out day, hold it, then redeliver on your move-in day. One company handles both ends, so nothing gets handed off.
How much does moving and storage cost in Tucson?
It depends on how much is stored and for how long, on top of the move itself. Both parts are itemized on one free written estimate before you commit, so you are not guessing at a second bill later.
How long can you store my things?
Short-term between closing dates is the most common, and longer arrangements are possible. Tell us your best guess at the dates when you request your estimate and it is quoted from there.
Do I have to pack differently for storage?
Some things are worth handling differently when they are going to sit for a while rather than ride across town. We will tell you what to set aside when the estimate is written.
Can I get to my things while they are in storage?
Ask at estimate time. Access depends on how your items are stored, so it is worth telling us up front if you expect to need something before redelivery.
Do you store things for a long-distance move too?
Yes. Storage in transit is common on out-of-state moves when the delivery end is not ready. It goes on the same written estimate as the move.
